The 2014 FASA Awards for Excellence  in Franchising, Award Winners

The Franchise Association of South Africa’s Awards for Excellence in Franchising, was held alongside the International Franchise Exhibition (IFE). The FASA Awards and IFE celebrated all the movers and shakers in the franchising industry. The FASA awards are the franchising industry’s highest accolades and are the official vehicle through which the Franchise Association of Southern Africa shows the world how successful franchising is in South Africa.

Despite the economic downturn franchising continues to be a dominant business format as far as SME development is concerned. Across the globe small business is recognized as the safety net of any economy and franchising is proving to be quite resilient even in this economic climate.

The Brand Builder award is awarded to companies who have used their budgets for maximum effect and through advertising, promotional campaigns and consumer awareness, taken their brands to new heights.

FASA Awards 2014Positioned as the all-round car servicing solution provider and all at an affordable rate, Car Service City has managed to differentiate themselves from other car service providers. Car Service City’s independent workshops have become a trusted and well-recognised car-servicing brand. They have chosen to communicate their brand messages in above the line advertising such as radio, outdoor advertising (billboards, street poles, bus shelters and pavelites), as well as online via a website and social media, and in-store. Most importantly their staff flew the Car Service City banner high! An internal newsletter coupled with regular competitions ensures that staff are motivated, incentivised, and engage with the brand not only when dealing with each other but also with customers.
