The Extensions of cover benefit differ in value between the Precious Metal Plans. Please ensure you read you policy wording to confirm the benefit value.

FAQs

1. Will my Premiums ever go up?
You will not see an increase in your premiums for the first 12 months – Guaranteed. Premiums will be reviewed annually.
2. How do I pay my Premium?
You pay monthly by Debit order.
3. Is Tow in Charges included?
Yes, in the case of a breakdown and it is due to an insured item we will pay for towing up to the benefit amount.
4. What happens if I am far from home when I have an insured breakdown?
We will pay for hotel accommodation up to the benefit listed for the plan you are on.
5. Do I need to service my Vehicle while on the Plan?
Yes you do. All vehicles need to be serviced as per the Manufactures requirements.
6. When can I claim my Service Benefit?
After 3 successful payments you can claim your 1st Service.
7. Where can I take my vehicle for a service or for repair?
At any RMI approved dealer.
8. If I have Pre-existing damage can I get this repaired?
All Pre-existing conditions are excluded from cover.
9. Can I cancel my Comprehensive Insurance now that I have a Precious Metal Plan?
The Precious Metal Plan is not comprehensive insurance; it is Mechanical Insurance for your car, very much like a Medical Aid. We do not suggest that you cancel your comprehensive insurance.
10. I have a 4x4 vehicle, do I qualify for a Precious Metal Plan
